2023 In Person Oritation Summary
986 NEW STUDENTS
The first chapter of china is beginning, and the glory is blooming! Five universities - ucsd, uci, ucla, ucb, and ucd - held a total of four offline freshmen meetings, and 986 freshmen who were about to enter the university opened a new chapter of their lives together. This huge number of people, like a bright star, countless young hearts converge here, get to know each other and go forward hand in hand. In the hot atmosphere of the new student meeting, the students and their parents felt the warmth and care from the senior students of the five universities cu, adding more expectation and passion for the future university life.
About 1700 people
The event was unprecedented! The new student orientation attracted nearly 1,700 new students and their parents to participate in this vast extravaganza. Scholars and parents held hands as they embarked on their new journey together and felt the warmth and hospitality of the cu family. Such a large number of participants made the 2023 freshmen's meeting a historic event, leaving unforgettable memories for the freshmen and adding even more vigor and activity to CU.

UCSD, UCI, UCLA, UCB, and UCD seniors and siblings joined hands to gather together for the new student orientation, which was full of dry goods for the new students.
BEIJING, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen are about
4000 miles away.
The staff traveled between Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, accumulating more than 4,000 kilometers in order to make the new students less worried and more expectant about their upcoming university life. They went out of their way to share their experience and wisdom with sincere passion and care, and prepared a warm and joyful meeting for the new students. This selfless effort made the new students feel the warmth and care of the school family and depicted a bright prospect for their university life.
MAKE SURE EVERY DETAILS
Many seniors arrived at the venue at 6:00 a.m. under the early morning sunshine and started to prepare early, making sure everything was ready and checking every detail carefully, so as to be well-prepared for the smooth running of the event. They couldn't wait to share their valuable experience with the new students, so that they could avoid similar mistakes and make less detours, and to help the new students to be more successful in their study abroad process.
