TIMELINE
Learn about our journey. Everything starts with…
On March 10, VITA GLOBAL’s predecessor, CU, was founded by a group of UCSD students in the United States.
CU became a registered non-profit charitable organization and hosted a fundraising event for GiveWell Charity – Neglected Tropical Diseases at UCSD.
CU's registered membership exceeded 4,000. The organization expanded to Northern California with branches at UC Davis and UCSC, growing to a presence in 14 campuses. The CU Committee was established, and both online and offline activities began to reach the entirety of California.
Branches were established at UIUC, SBCC, ICSO, Chapman, and UC Merced. During the outbreak of COVID-19, CU mobilized the strength of its branches nationwide to conduct fundraising efforts.

While strengthening its headquarters at UCSD, CU expanded further by establishing branches at six additional schools across California.
Multiple events and recruitment drives were held at MT.SAC, UCSB, and in New York, followed by the establishment of additional branches, including CU-NYC, which became our first branch on the East Coast of the United States.
The CU Ten-School Alliance virtual orientation for new students was launched, and the VITA member app went live.
